Happy Thanksgiving…Thank You SLP team!

Published November 12, 2012 12:14 PM by Alexandra Streeter
I'm sure we are all more than ready for Thanksgiving next week!

This year, I'm offering thanks for my wonderful SLP team!

There are times when it's difficult to be the only SLP in a building, and it's so nice to meet with the district group for our monthly (and sometimes more frequent) meetings.

In my district there are 7 of us, and I admire each and every one! I learn something new from them every time we meet. I'm not sure if I'd like to be the only SLP for a district. We share laughs, ideas and resources; and struggle through changes in procedure together

How many SLP's are in your districts?

How often do you get to meet?

Are you the only SLP at your school?

Thank you to all the SLP's in my district...I couldn't and wouldn't do it without you!

Meanwhile, here are some fun Thanksgiving Apps to use with your students:

Thanksgiving Coloring Book

Hand Turkey

Mr Turkey Where are You? (I especially love this one, designed by a mother of a child with autism)

In my district we are not yet able to download apps that cost money, but if we were, I would love to check out "The Bernenstain Bears Give Thanks."

Happy Thanksgiving!
