Creative Genius on the Go

Published August 31, 2012 1:12 PM by Jeremy Legaspi

Here is a fun little app that costs 99 cents. It's developed by Jr Imagination for the iPhone but works perfectly on the iPad. On-The-Go appears to be meant for a fun car trip but also makes a fun creative therapy session! It is made up of three cool activities that foster creative thinking and are really great for expressive language. It has random play as well as 2+ player capability. You can even save your creations in the built in notebook. Want to put a time limit and make it a fun group competition? Well there is a built in timer as well! It comes with 150 challenges with 50 in each of the following categories

  • 1) Wack-tivities- the player is given a crazy activity to carry out, such as reciting a nursery rhyme or poem as fast as you can but say ‘zymer' after each word
  • 2) What Ifs? The player is given thought provoking scenarios, such as What if... you were allergic to water?
  • 3) Imagine That- the player is given a scenario and has to be creative and build a story or draw a picture. An example would be Pretend you are only two inches tall. Where would you play? Where would you sleep? etc...
