Juney’s World: Days in the Life of a CT Technologist

Missing Piece

Published July 30, 2011 9:31 PM by June Ammirati
I had another great week on my new schedule. I am sure getting used to not being so tired all of the time. Ten-hour shifts seem to work out nicely for me, and I'm grateful to have three full days off each week.

One of my favorite co-workers went out on maternity leave last week. I will miss her greatly. She taught me a lot and we truly bonded. She was the glue that held the ER CT together on day shift so I'm curious to see what happens in her absence. I was not expecting to get along with her as well as I did and I just love when life throws you a curve ball to keep you on your toes. It's always the things we don't anticipate, whether good or bad, that make life interesting and offer the opportunity for personal growth.

Hello June,

I would just like to say that I really enjoy reading your blogs. I am a student at a junior college and I am looking to major in health care in the radiologic technician program.  I really like reading about your everyday work life because I can get a sense of what I will be faced with in the future.  Reading your blogs makes it even clearer to me that radiologic technology is for me and I cant wait to trasfer and begin my education!

Thanks!
