I work in an inpatient rehab hospital and we are trying to staff appropriately for the holidays. Obviously we are aware of the 3 hrs per day/5days a week rule, but does medicare observe major holidays as an exception to this rule? Are there any medicare observed holidays, and if so what are they? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure about inpatient, but in skilled nursing facilities medicare does allow 4x per week for major federal recognized holidays.
