Re: Salary ranges for homehealth PT and PTA's

I have worked in home care for over 20 years. I currently work 32 hours with an hourly rate with great benefits.....the rate varies with experience, and I currently am paid $43 per hour, including paperwork and travel time. I used to work per diem, and the rate was $ 60 per visit not including paperwork time or travel time, and did not vary with experience. There are pros and cons to each but I am happy with my current, secure position with set hours per week.

I think salaries for PT & PTA would be varied with having designation or experience you get in the home health care company . But generally it is usually paid 60$ per visit  .. there is a lot more benefits associated with this a good company offers to their employees.

I would like to know how the home healthcare field looks for the Sarasota area and what the going rate for PTA's is. Also, even if you are not from the Sarasota area, do you prefer prn or full-time home health?

    Hi Regina,

I don't have an answer to your question, however I saw that you work in the Pittsburgh market and was wondering if you would be interested in a position with a great home health agency looking for part time /prn therapists. Per visit reimbursement is very competitive!
