    Re: ONLINE DNP PROGRAMS

    Hi Christine:

Have you looked at any other DNP programs? IF you do not mind me asking, how long was the waiting list for Chatham University? I am considering applying there.

    Thanks,

    Pat

    Re: ONLINE DNP PROGRAMS

Hi, I think you would have to wait until the fall of 2009. I asked to be placed on their waiting list, but that is already long for this fall. The deadline, I think, for fall of '09 is Feb. 2008. I've recently applied to the University of Alabama. The deadline for fall classes is July, 2008 so there is time to apply. Classes begin in 8/08. It looks like a good program.

    Jill,

I am a psychiatric NP and am very interested in the program at the Beth El SON. The problem is that you can only attend full time. I am concerned that I won't be able to handle full time school and work. Is it do-able?  Any suggestions?

I am interested in your DNP online program.  I have a masters and 10 years as an NP.  I cannot leave work as a single mom with a three year old.  Thanks Shannon Whitten NP

    Jennifer,

How long is the DNP program going to take you online?

    Ken-

I don't know if you'll ever see this, but if you do, have you started Geo Washington U yet for the DNP and how do you like it?  How about their research project?  It seems to me that the essay they require one to write for admissions may seem focused on the student's potential proposal with much of it all thought out already.  I'd like to know about the actual program as I am applying for the Fall of 2009.  It looks like a good program and is very reasonable!

    thanks

    Terri

Where's UTHSC?  AS I live in VA and to go to this campus 4 time a year may be difficult 4 me.  I also found that University of Alabama has an online program but I don't know how often you need to go as does WVU, and GWU.  CrystalCFNP from VA

    Ken,

Have you started GWU?  That looks more appeasing to me than any due to it being closer.  Is it pretty good and do you like it?  Let me know.  Crystal from VA

    Re: ONLINE DNP PROGRAMS

I agree with you totally on this issue. I can't afford to leave my job and definitely can't afford to add more student loans to my already huge debt load for something that won't make my practice any different in terms of money or insurance recognition. I'll hang around and watch for a little while.
