For the up and coming new students to Medical Billing and Coding don't just look at the first code that pops up,  you have to let your finger do the walking and look deeper to find the proper code. It was the mistake I was making with going with the first code I laid my eyes on. Once I was taught to look more into the code I found out there was a much better one. So let your finger's do some walking and read read read. Get to know your Coding book it is your Bible. Make notes in any space you find in your ICD-9 book, it will help you in the long run.
