I'm new in my current management position at an inpatient rehab and am starting to plan staffing for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Where I worked previously we worked the Sunday before and the Saturday after however this facility has always just taken the day and not made up all 3 hours on another day. I currently have fewer staff and a smaller pool staff to pull from than what I had previously which makes things complicated for sure!
What does your facility do? I know CMS doesn't grant these days "off" so I'll be curious to what best practice is related to this.
