&lt;P&gt;Without laboratory medicine medical error would occur more often because doctors wouldn't be able to formulate an accurate diagnosis because they wouldn't have access to a patient's system values. Medical Laboratory Technology provides the basis for quality medical care.&lt;/P&gt;
