I was a Verizon customer in Tampa, FL using the FIOS service and loved it. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Unfortunately I moved and it is not available in my new area...back to Comcast.

I wasn't aware that the speed went as high as 30MB. I will check to see if that option is available in my area (Philadelphia).

I live out of town a bit so I cannot get fios, but 2 friends of mine have it and both of them love it. One of them has the 30MB service and the other has the 15MB service and they are both extremely happy. Both switched from Comcast.

Thinking of Trying FiOS

I've heard good things about Verizon's FiOS Internet service, and I'm thinking of giving it a try.

I'm currently using Comcast's cable Internet service. Have not had any major issues with Comcast, but Verizon seems to have a pretty significant speed advantage, if marketing claims are true.

Has anyone tried FiOS? Any special considerations?
