Here in Washington, $28-30/hr is not unusual. I was accepted into an Lpn program, but changed my mind. I felt the profession was under-payed and over worked! My only concern about respiratory is the job availability, with the current job market. What type of salary can new RT's expect? I know respiratory isn't as common as nursing, some people aren't even familiar w/ their scope of practice. I hope to get accepted into UMDNJ after I complete the pre-professional phase of the program. Any comments or advice appreciated. Thank you!
