    salary for OTs

    Hi

I am a foreigned trained OT and have an OTR/L. I am looking at working in the US. I wonder is going through an employment agency the only way to get a job? Also how much salary should i expect? I have 8 years experience as an paediatric OT with certification in NDT,  CST and use of therapeutic listening programmes.

Any assistance or information would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

    cheers

    Hi,

You I would think that you can become employed without an agency, I know others who have. As far as salary goes, that will depend on the area of the country and the setting you are applying for

    Hi em

thanks for your reply. i will try writing to centres directly although i ve been told most employers would not  wait so long for the H1B1 work visa to be processed. Also the employment agencies quoted a per hour rate of 30$.

    Anyway many thanks again.
