    Multi-Disciplinary Clinic in NYC area?

I am an OT in Massachusetts desperately looking for a multi-disciplinary clinic (something with Speech, OT, and behavioral interventions) in the NYC area for my two year old niece who lives in Brooklyn, NY.  She received an assesment through a Brooklyn area early intervention program, but did not qualify for services (I was shocked as an EI provider in MA).  She has some significant language delays, sensory issues, and behavioral difficulties....I think she may be on the spectrum.  Her parents are only concerned about speech at this point.   However, I would love for her to get started at a clinic that offers more than just speech, so when they are ready to see the bigger picture those services will be readily available to her.  Any suggesions would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

    Hi Leya,

I'm a peds OT in Manhattan, and while I don't know of anything off the top of my head, I will start asking around for you.  You may want to start by asking some of the EI agencies in NYC - call this number - 518-473-7016 and ask for Margaret Adabo.  I don't know if she is still there, but this is the Early Intervention Program's main number where you can find out names of agencies in the different Boroughs.  From there, you might be able to get a list of providers/clinics near your niece.

If I hear of anything, I'll post it.  Good luck,

    Sandy
