The AAA ethics committee recently proposed more stringent guidelines for audiologic practice, particularly with respect to accepting gifts/incentives from corporate entities. Are these new guidelines too strict? Are they necessary? Will they hinder audiologic care or do we indeed need even more rigorous ethics requirements?
