    LPN's in home care

I am a home services nurse by choice, a hospital (floor nurse) by circumstance.  The agency I work for (A rural community hospital) recently had a state survey and, as a result of the survey, LPN's are now no longer allowed to make home visits with the exception of one patient who had private pay insurance and is a long term case.

I have searched the Indiana regs pertaining to this, and no where can I find anything that restricts LPN's from making home visits.  Is there anybody out there, in the state of Indiana, that is an LPN AND works for a home care agency?

I'm trying to get my dream job back!

    Thanks for your help.

    Re: LPN's in home care

This is news to me i live in Va LPNs are dominating the home care filed i don't do visits but my agency does hire nurses to do home visits i work with children with trach, vents, Gt just to name a few if the family is a good match it is less stressful.

You should call your board of nursing to find out all the best
