    any traveling therapists?

I was wondering if people could give me names of good companies to work with for traveling positions.
I'm thinking about doing a traveling position in NYC/long island.  I'm coming from FL.
Can anyone make any recommendations (pros/cons) from their experiences?

    Thanks in advance!!!

I recommend PPR, they are based in Florida. I have traveled for 3 years now and been with a few different companies. This company gives very personal service to the traveler and really work with you.  I would be happy to talk with you if you have more questions. Good luck!

My friend and I travel together for a year and I kept traveling for another year and we both loved it!  We were in Texas (the best state!) twice, Florida, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and Washington.  The license was easiest to get in Texas.  The agency we used was V Platinum Consulting and we had the same recruiter the whole time.  This company also gave such personal service and Danielle was always able to take care of our needs.  Traveling gave me so much more experience than I thought I could get!  From big to small cities, it was always a new and fun challenge.  I settled down at a perm job to be with my husband (who I met in Texas!) but I would love to keep traveling if he could come with me!  Traveling allowed me to really build my resume and ask for a bigger salary when it came time for me to find my perm job!

    Re: any traveling therapists?

Hey guys!  I have been a traveler for over 4 years now and can't envision stopping anytime soon.  It is a bit of a hassle though, when looking for specific assignments in specific cities.  This normally forces you to contact multiple companies and that in itself is a major headache.  Plus, when I drove clear across the country, I did that based on the "word" of my recruiter and the wealth of knowledge my 10 minute phone interview gave me.  I thought to myself, there has to be a better way.  So, I created a community of traveling rehab professionals at:

    http://www.medtravelerclub.com/

It provides rankings and ratings of all the companies out there, the facilities they place us at, provides forums that allow us to network and answer questions that only other travelers could possibly answer correctly, as well as, benefits comparisons, links to everything a traveler would need on assignment.

Its all free and it takes no time to join up and get the advice of other travelers.  Hopefully, YOU will be able to contribute to our next assignment by rating your companies and assignments as well.  The more therapists that do, the more it identifies the great conmpanies and facilities and the ones to avoid like the plague.

    Hope to see you around!
