I am a recent grad, if you are wondering how to prepare for the exam....... well there's not much you can do. I purchased a practice exam book for about $40 that provided 5 exams using the same format that the NBCOT uses, it also includes a CD-ROM where you can take a mock-exam and time yourself. Just familiarize yourself with the format of the questions.

    Goodluck!

I would suggest reflecting on your testing skills as a student. After your academics, fieldwork,  and hard work, your clinical reasoning and critical thinking should pull you through...That being said, do think about your reading of multiple choice questions, do you need to brush up on time management of test taking, etc?  It is good to practice with the exam review guides, old and new, to assess your testing ability. Your school may have some of these in the library for your use.

    Good luck and take care,

I just took my exam not long ago, and I felt the NBCOT prep book was a big help.  There is really no "good" way to study for the exam, but I thought reading through questions that were phrased similarly to those on the exam was a big help.  When I became fustrated with answering most of the questions wrong I would only read the answers and that made me feel more confident.  I also did a few study groups and that was more fun than helpful I think.  Good luck on your exam!
