Not my program, but I took responsiblity to make sure I was prepared. I feel our training teaches us how to learn, provides the resources, but the rest is up to us.

My fieldwork mentors are the reason I was prepared for the test. School was a joke. I graduated in 2000.

My program prepared me for the exam, but my clinicals are what prepared me for the real world of OT.  I feel many of the programs have an outdated class progression.  There were many things I think should be included that weren't and visa versa.

NYU '97 - Yes, the tests at NYU were often geared toward the NBCOT test. I became so used to tricky, difficult tests that when I took the NBCOT exam it seemed... not easy but straight-forward, I kept looking for the tricks and there weren't any really. I ended up doing really well on the test. If you're concerned, take one of those study classes and get a question book and practice taking it so you get a feel for the test prior to taking it.
