    RtI In Illinois

I have been searching for information on what COTA/L's can & cannot do with regards to the RtI initiative.  I have contacted Illinois Professional Regulation Board but cannot get any information specific to what the state is going to allow us to do.  Does anyone have any info about what is/is not allowed; ie:  screening individual students or whole classrooms, hands on work with students using OT programs, etc.

I too have tried to find out what our role in RTI is or is going to be.  Where I work, it seems that the OTRs are being trained but not the COTAs.  That tells me that we will have no role in this.  Every time we have an opening for a COTA ,they hire an OTR. It makes me wonder.I have point blank asked our OTRs what our role will be, and get no answer.  All they have to do is figure how to bill the school districts for our services.  We have a wealth of infor to share in the classroom but we all know that it is all about the $$$$$, not the kids.
