I work for the DOE and am thinking of going on leave next school year to be with my young son for one year at which time he will be ready for preschool (they're only babies once!!  :)).  I obviously won't be able to work every day, so I'm looking for some creative ways to be able to make some money to ease the financial burden.  Any ideas besides homecare?  Thanks so much.  Wish me luck!!

Have you thought about contracting with charter schools or home school agencies for kids who need consult based OT? The service frequency on the IEPs are usually not weekly.  The other option os contracting to solely do evaluations.  Either way is a lucrative option.  Good luck and congratulations on mommyhood!
