Your opinion on senior balance exercise web info

Looking for input regarding my book and website, www.balanceforeverybody.com

Based on our published research, the program is designed to target the key areas of function for fall prevention, as well as a chapter on testing balance and function at home. I'm getting great feedback from patients and wellness directors but looking for feedback from P.T.s Thank you in advance.

I've read your introductory chapter and it is brilliant! Very well done to appeal to older adults and their caregivers in terms of language and phrasing. My one criticism is that you quote many studies and statistics without apparently giving the source information. For instance your statistic on number of injuries due to falls in 2004 I recognize from the CDC. I know that because I used to teach fall prevention for a large home care agency. You'll have more acceptance and credibility if you simply provide the back up for your information. Perhaps you've already included that in another section of your book which is not available for download. I would hope you would stress a bit more the importance of working with a PT on these exercises, at least initially, to ensure safe and proper execution of the program.

Good luck with the endeavor, it looks very worthwhile.
