SI toys for Early Intervention... Any suggestions?

Hi everyone, I am an OT working part-time in Early Intervention.  Can you recommend some must-have toys that I can keep in my car?  I have a great deal of fine motor toys, but I was wondering what other therapists carry with them in their cars as must have toys.  One of the teachers I work with actually brings one of those blow up houses that you actually plug in (it's huge and would take up someone's entire living room)... this is not possible for me.  Just feel stumped and need some ideas.  I feel like I keep doing the same things over and over. Thanks so much!

    Hi Stephanie,

Did you get any good responses to your question?  I just started working as an EI provider for OT and some of the sensory items I keep in my car include different tactile play items (beans, moonsand, foam, paint, brushes, different homemade stuff), a blanket for swinging, and if I had room I would probably keep a therapy ball in my car for some vestibular/proprioceptive input.  I guess that is about the items I keep in my car as I try to do some more vestibular and proprioceptive activities with stuff within the child's home.
