    Salary Information

ADVANCE is gearing up for our next clinical laboratory salary survey! We poll your peers about their titles, salary, region, gender and more to get the latest statistics. Is there anything you would like to see in this year's survey beyond the traditional data? Let us know by leaving your comment below.

How about including more MLT's in your survey?

    Re: Salary Information

Those salary information don't mean anything in our workplaces here. Hospitals and lab here have their own independent salary resources. No amount of ASCP or Advance surveys can change their offers. I've been a technologist for 23 years and my current pay is $25.29 and I have a friend who just graduated this year 2011 on a 2-year RN program and she started at $26. I almost puke! What an insult on my education! The maximum amount my workplace can pay is 28.50 that will probably take at least 3-4 years because of  cost    living increases at approximately 3 point % something annually. Not even a real job performance increase. I blame SOLELY on our FRAGMENTED organization. ASCP, ASCLS, AMT, ABB, HEW, CLIA and who knows what. Why we can't have just ONE Organization with no pathologist influence ( same broken record litany)? Can somebody please tell me how many certifying or organization other professionals has? That's what we get being so pretentious that other med tech organization is better than the others, well too bad we have ASCP's here who have the same pay with other (having a different certification) or even less. So to everybody just suck it up! Nothing's gonna change even the overly bloated "shortage" thing won't change that! Am watching! Yes, I educate and promote my profession but I tell that our pay is VERY POOR! No lie here! Somebody talkin'?
