    tramatic brain injury

Good afternoon SLP's.  I am one- an SLP, and last year suffered a concussion with extreme and lasting post-concussive syndrome symptoms. We as professionals must look at concussion as a viable and considered disorder with

This complication is characterized as a closed head injury.

All my years of training in aphasia and stroke and visual/auditory processing evoked symptoms in both of these areas for me as an adult- with noted apraxia and memory deficits.. Vestibular complications prevailed for several months as well as did a reading disability.

Convergence insufficiency, an ocular-motor teaming problem occurred and was diagnosed and must be recognized as apossible dagnosis for lour children and adults....

I am reaching out to all SLP's throughout the globe to search, consider, and assess visual disturbance issues as a known etiology and prevailing possible disorder to considered as part of non-verbal-learning disabilities.

Please respond....this is a serious dis-order and effects children with symptoms reflecting ADHD andLD.

I am now passionate about spreading the word to educators globally.
