Thank you for the article on LDL particle number and size. We have been utilizing advanced lipid testing in our family practice sight for over 3 years. There are other types that are available such as the Berkely and the Health Diagnostic Laboratories. We also utilize NMR's. As we begin to learn more about the nature of LDL particles and the process by which they are metabolized, it will become obvious that a basic lipid panel will not suffice.
