    Billing for documentation time?

Under Medicare are you allowed or, is there a way, to bill for your documentation time?

I believe you can only bill for time in which the patient is within eyesight.  But if your computers or paper documentation is completed within eyesight of the patient, while he or she is participating in an activity, that is billable time.

I see this being done with the patient in eyesight, sleeping, just "resting" or evven getting angry.  Is that billable?
