    Medical Billing and Coding

I have started my third class in college and I'm really discouraged. I am getting scared and feel like giving up already. Please tell me its going to get easier as I go. I never thought I was good at anything and I have always given up so easily. I hope I do okay and get the hang of things real soon..

    Hang in there Shaunna,

Don't give up just because the course work is getting a little hard.  If this is something you really want to do, then find a way to get the energy needed, it can be a very rewarding career.  I have been doing this for 21 years now and I still love it.

Don't give up it may seem hard now but you have to keep going,  keep doing your best and putting your best foot forward. Anything worth working for is worth having. Your end results is what will matter the most to you and then you can look back on it and smile at all of your hard work.

Hi Shaunna, don't give up if you are having problems talk to your advisors it is going to get better trust me. I am 43 years old and been out of school since 1986 so if I can be on the Dean's List for last semester and this semester I have 2 B's and 1 A you can do always think positive never think negative.  Good Luck with your studies.

If you have started your third class obviously the first two were successful, so you have nothing to get discourage about.  I'm sure you have a goal and I don't think you're ready to give up now.  I say hang in there you are almost there.  It may or may not get easier but in the end it will be worth it.  Keep your head up!!!

You and I are in the same class, and yes the work is difficult, but don't get too discouraged. Everything I have heard about this field is that this hard work is really worth it. It's a good career to get into. If you need any help you can always write me.

Shaunna Don't give up! I am also frustrated, I figure that this is all part of the "learning experience" we are doing. Right now, we have the same class also, we can help each other get through this. I also am frustrated about the books. And yes, it is a lot of reading, but we can do the best that we can and ask all the questions we can and asking for help from others help too. We all can do this. Life needs to throw some frustrating times at us in order for us to learn. Good Luck! And please if you need help or have a question, just ask anyone, including me. If I don't know the answer, I will try to find out for you.

    Re: Medical Billing and Coding

I am at my last class in getting my Diploma. (Comprehensive Coding) and where I took off since 09/26/11 to look after my Mom whom had Alzheimer's and died in 11/06/11, I am having a hard time getting back into it. I am 61 and I'm beginning to wonder maybe I'm just to old anymore.I want to be able to work from home eventually. I do like the challenge. I think I am mostly dreading the Internship. Everyone says that if you keep practicing that it will get easier. Just hang in there.
