Hey, everyone.
I'm a fourth semester student in Concordia University of Wisconsin's Masters of OT program and I have an upcoming debate on the science classes included in an OT curriculum. Our debate will specifically address if OT students should have the opportunity to participate in cadaver dissection, as part of a course or a separate experience, in order to gain a strong foundation of anatomical knowledge that can be applied in a clinical setting. I thought it would be enlightening to get a few practicing clinicians' views on the topic if possible. If you had an opportunity to experience cadaver dissection what were the pros and cons? If you didn't have a chance to experience it do you wish you could have and why?
Thank You!
