• Re: HOW CAN ONE GAIN EXPERIENCE IF NO ONE GIVES THEM A CHANCE

Why not apply for an admitting clerk, or receptionist position. All you need is one foot in. If its a hospital you are interested in check their website and see what jobs they have opened. Good luck.

  • re: Mentoring

This is a wonderful story,.It is obvious she applied herself, was at the right place, at the right time; for someone to recognize her. This is not the typical story you find very often. If only we all have someone to look out for us. This was certainly Sherry's time; thanks to Carol.

Please ...

  • Re: CCS OR RHIT CERTIFED?

Rasami; At the completion of the HIT program you will be able to sit for the RHIT exam. The CCS exam should be taken after some experience in the field; anywhere from 18months to two years. You will have a better chance of passing since this CCS exam is more intense. Good luck Vanessa.

  • Re: An upcoming coder

Mercedes: You should take the CPC exam first. The CCS will require some working experience before embarking on that exam, I am sure others will agree. The CCS carries more weight and is more recognized. Good luck Vanessa.

  • Re: Worried student

Sherri: I wanted to know how you are getting along with your studies since your last post on the fourm? Are you still overwhelmed with the work or are you getting the hang of it? In the beginning it will seem so much to absord, but you will eventually get used to it. Good luck Vanessa.
