  • Flaccid UE, Neuro re-ed ideas

    Can anybody provide some input on ideas for neuro re-ed techniques for a flaccid UE.&nbsp; very little movement available, but pt was fully functioning before.&nbsp; I'm weak in neuro so any ideas would be great or any resources on videos to watch, etc. &nbsp; thanks lindsey&nbsp;

    I think it's a good idea to give your student assignments, it's all part of the fieldwork process.&nbsp; But in my experience as an OTR I would say that doing some assignments but then focusing on the clinical aspect of things more is the most beneficial.&nbsp; I was great at doing ''projects'' in school and did very well in the academic portion ...

    Does anybody have a sample of a pediatric evaluation form?&nbsp; I am trying to make one up but I'm not sure how detailed I want to be with it or if I should let it be more narrative.&nbsp; any suggestions of examples would be great! &nbsp; &nbsp;

    I am an OTR, about 2-3 years out of school.&nbsp; I recently started home care and I have a pt. that is s/p cervical decompression and fusion (c3-c7).&nbsp; He has trace shoulder flexion/abd, trace to no elbow flexion, difficulty with eccentric motions (ie elbow extension).&nbsp; Obviously there is neurological involvement after this ...
