    Hi Melissa, I see, so your program was an entry-level. Then, youll benefit from taking the CCAthe first step for a career in coding. If you are interested in being an inpatient&nbsp;coder, then AHIMA is the organization to be associated with. Where it comes to the physician based coding, you probably want to look at the AAPC Website.

    Hi, Was your online Medical Coding and Billing program an outpatient based or inpatient? To demonstrate a higher level of coding expertise, consider taking either the CCS and/or CCS-P, depending on your program. Personally, I would not recommend you to take the CPC-A certification exam.&nbsp; Hope this helps.
