• RE:RE:RE:Are LPNs doing enough?

I totally agree with your statement about LPNs letting CNAs and Med TECHs take over. I am sick and tired of having a CNA with 3 days of 'how to read a transcripted doctors order 101' try to tell me MY job. I have worked in this profession for 17+ years and a GLORIFIED CNA makes more money and has less to do...what kind of unadulterated feces is ...

  • RE:RE:Nursing shortage

MESSAGE BY: cgryderVery old post, I know, but I was going over this and just had to respond. I agree that in some cases, an LPN cannot replace an RN. But, in many cases it is possible, particularly if you want experience. Given the nursing programs of today, many RN's graduate totally unprepared for hands on patient care. I have been an LPN for 18 ...

  • Icing on the cake... MED TECHS

OH NO! let me open your eyes to the world of MED TECHS this is a CNA with a 3 day pharmacology? course (I can read a Dr.s order too, ONLY if a Nurse transcribes it to english though)! who will get paid more than an LPN to do less work with less resposibilities and guess what IF she/he (God forbid) O.D.s a patient or gives the wrong out of ...

  • RE:RE:Laughing DON

HEAR! HEAR!!! Amazing how LPN's get used and abused by their supposed 'superiors?' I am sick to death of strightening out screw ups from the so called 'higher ups' and IF one more Supervisor laughs at something I say and the presents the same thing as 'HIS/HEr' Ideal I am going to go balastic! Further education is a wonderful way to get ...

  • RE:RE:RE:New Lpn to BSN - distance learning

you may want to rethinkl the Rue thing. UNLESS YOU ARE VERY MOTIVATED and can really(and I do mean REALLY!) Force yourself to sit down and devote your time you will be wasting your money. I have been trying to achieve my ADN thru Rue and they did not want to accept a lot of my credits then they wanted me to obtain other credits not mentioned ...

  • RE:RE:New Lpn to BSN - distance learning

I have noticed that most LPN Pay starts at about 12.00 an hour. Amazing that some of us older LPNs are NOW training the NEW RNs and still making less than half their pay, isn't it? As far as Distance learning IF it is an ON-Line I am willing to try it in fact have an interview set up with them already. Tried the RUE program and wasted my money and ...

Sounds like your DON needs a serious break (broken neck, arm or leg) because apparently she is already on a mind break, contact your administrator NOW!
