Suffice it to say that sometimes it is incumbent upon the employee to educate the employer. Although I understand your plight, your credential is for physician/provider-based coding. The hospitals are seeking folks who carry credentials specific to their setting.

You may have trouble finding folks to share the AAPC-sanctioned practice tests and/or study guides. Those items cannot be shared due to user agreement. However, check at your local library for titles like the Carol Buck Extra Step for the CPC. Someone may also have this title to share with you.
