• Re: Which job?

From my personal experience, (working on 5yrs exp), I'm going to have to say hospitals tend to pay more usually. However, that does depend on where you are and how much experience you have in a particular setting, physician or insurance companies could pay you more.

  • Re: CCS Exam 2011

Hey Lisa, I had one more question: I was reading the allowable book list for the CCS exam and its all 2010 books. Do you know if this is right, do they really want you to use 2010 books during an exam taken in 2011, or is that just something they haven't updated yet?

  • Re: Medical Billing & Coding

I agree, ICD-10 will create many new job opportunities! But my question is: Anyone here, in school or working with experience, looking to get your CCS certification soon or after school? How are your preparing for the exam? Or anyone already holding their CCS, any advice? And how has it helped you in your in career?

  • CCS Exam 2011

Anyone studying to take the CCS exam this year? What study guide are you using? The one currently on the AHIMA website, does anyone know if it is up to date? AHIMA website isn't very clear about any changes or updates. Anyone already taken the exam this year, do you know of any changes they've made since last year?

  • Re: Coding certification or experience first

Not really. I think its best to take all that you learn and give it your best shot while its still fresh in your mind. Trust me, there is a fat chance you will get a job starting out that will help keep all you learned (and will need to know for the test) fresh in your mind, while expanding your knowledge. Megan
