    thanks for the info about GA State. I called MCG and it looks like they will continue to have classes on Friday. I cant attend class like that from Florida so it looks like MCG is out for me.

    Already an NP. Work in surgery. Can't leave my job for a degree I am not even totally sold on yet. I am willing to do online work. I can do the work in between cases. Nights. Weekends. ect.     Obtaining your RNFA may help you get into the OR a little easier. Theoretically all you need is the NP but since the OR and first assisting is mostly dominated by PAs and RNFAs......its hard for an NP with no OR background to find a position. From a billing stance Medicare only recognizes MDs, PAs, and NPs so having the NP for that will be great. ...

    Now I understand a little better. I just dont see how medicare can justify paying an MD assist and not a nonphysician provider assistant. Actually.....I think its against the law.
