    I feel they are hiring students that have done their clinical training at their facilities. It is ridiculous. Especially in this job climate. I won't take a position that starts me at a new tech pay scale. I have been offered $8.00/hr. No lie. As a mammo tech. Minimum wage is what....$6.55/hr as of July, 2008. I am so ready to chuck it all.

    Here is an update on my employment situation. I have applied for 3 positions in my city since the last time I posted here in June. Not ONE reply. NOT ONE. I continue to travel, but it is getting old. My current assignment has been cut in half-from 13 weeks to 6. I go home in 2 weeks. I don't know what else to do.

    Thanks for your replies. I moved here 2 years ago from the Northeast, so moving again is not an option. I am traveling right now, and while I enjoy it immensely, I would like to be employed in the city where I live. I just don't know why I can't get a job. Is it because of internal hiring?
