jery cole: aeauooo has some concerning post on allnurses himself. Very disturbing! It's a good thing though that THOSE posts won't be going anywhere soon either! Why yes 'Jery Cole' you do have some concerning posts on allnurses.com; go crawl back into your little whole.

  • Re: disturbing sexual behavior of female nurses

Dutchie: I need clarification! Is this thread implying that nurses in general are voyers? That members on allnurses condone this behavior? I am an RN of 33 years. I can tell you with 100% certainty that nurses do not go into nurses with the intent of being able to check out people's gentalia. That is absolutely absurd. ...

  • Re: disturbing sexual behavior of female nurses

I am accusing specific folks as being troublemakers; YES. It is my opinion, and right. I have never in my LIFE heard such nonsense and blatant hate for women. I find the comments here reprehensible, unfounded and I truly believe that people troll these boards just to stir up trouble and get a rise out of people. They have nothing better to do in ...

  • Where did you work when you got out of school? Did you feel like you got the experience and training you needed?

I got out of school way back in 1996... back when there was no nursing shortage. Actually, there was a glut of nurses and you had a hard time finding a job, especially if you were a new grad. I worked as a nursing assistant on a surgical floor in a hospital with hopes that I would be hired on after passing the boards... no such luck. They didn't ...

  • Re: Nurses and Drowsy Driving

I'd love to never have to drive drowsy again; it is no fun task... however it seems to be a part of nursing that we all tend to deal with. Get enough sleep. For most nurses this is no easy task; working different shifts; family obligations, too much caffeine and messed up sleep cycle from all of the above make getting any sleep a ...

student.beryl: I became a R.N. in 1998 and a BSN in 2004, after working as an LPN for appr. 25 yrs. I am now disabled and unable to work! I would like to hear from my collieges (1) should I maintain my Ma. nursing license? (2) can I volunteer in the Boston area? If so, where and in what capacity. (3) ...

  • Re: disturbing sexual behavior of female nurses

candice yin: Carla Young: From what I'm reading I don't believe any of you work in the nursng profession. It makes me very sad that you all seem to think this is a typical attitude with all nurses. Let me assure you, the nurses you speak of are the exceptions. Most nurses do try to conduct themselve professionally. Also most nuses care ...

  • Have you ever been on a Cruise Seminar? What was it like? I'm thinking about going...

I was going through the educational/events and educational programs sections looking for some conferences and saw a listing for a seminar at sea. It apparently is a company that does seminars onboard cruises. Sounds like a pretty cool idea. It leaves from LA, so driving distance to port for me. Has anyone ever done one of these? I was just ...
